Family Pictures

We took family pictures today.  Lexi is 5 1/2, Carter is 3, and Trevor is 3 months old.  We had a hard time getting Trevor to keep his hands out of his mouth and it took the entire session to get him to smile but all in all the pictures turned out pretty good.

Baby Blessing

Trevor Ray Chamberlain was blessed on March 30th, 2014 by his Father.  We were blessed to have an overwhelming amount of family there.  Cole's brothers (Neal, Noah, Madison, Lincoln, and Christopher), Nathan, Ray, John, Christian, Tim, Wing, Bill Bingham, Grandpa Chamberlain, and Mark Divall all stood in the circle.  I was expecially touched that his blessing mentioned me and Trevor loving and helping me.  I bore my testimony about our Father in Heaven being aware of me and blessing me through all my family and friends.  After the service we had a luncheon at our home.  It was fun having everyone over and using our basement.  It was a wonderful day full of the Spirit.

Beautiful

Lexi has gotten into looking "beautiful".  She likes to stand in front on of the mirror and put on lip gloss.  She figured out the earings to the Mr. Potato head fit her and wears them all the time.  She likes to wear necklaces, bracelets, and rings.  She wears her choose the right ring all the time.  She is very artistic and spends at least an hour a day working or art projects.  I often receive cards from her.  She built a house for Minnie Mouse out of paper, a Elsa dress out of paper, and a song book.  She asks me how to spell things and will try to write stories with me helping her spell them.  She is starting to learn to read.  She is a great helper.

Potty Training

Carter turns 3 soon so I randomly decided to potty train him one day.  It is by far my least favorite thing to teach my kids.  We started off sitting on the potty watching a show.  I gave him juice to encourage him to pee.  After 2 hours he did it for the first time.  We cheered and he loved all of the positive attention.  Then he got diarrhea.  I should have known better than to give him juice.  The poor boy would toot and it would be everywhere.  I was ready to give up but the next day when he got up he asked to put on his underwear and was excited to keep trying so we did.  We got him a sticker chart for poop and if he went 5 times he got a prize.  He really wanted the prize.  He sat on the toilet straining all day long and ended up pooping 5 times.  It was hilarious.  All in all he has done really well and likes wearing underwear and gets upset if I put a pull up on him.  He has managed to handle it all well especially considering he gets diarrhea a lot.  It's been fun seeing him enjoy us telling him how awesome he is and how proud we are of him.  He'll come tell me he's awesome and he made me happy after he goes.
