Disney Cruise!

We had the great opportunity to go on a Disney cruise.  My parents were going and that sparked our interest so we asked if they minded if we came and they said yes. I was worried about the long flights and layovers we had but the kids did really well and we didn't mind the flights at all.  We got to see Cole's friend from Florida for breakfast before we got on the ship and enjoyed seeing him.  The ship was amazing.  The lobby was elegant and beautiful with a winding staircase and chandeliers.  We'd never been on a cruise before but could tell that this one was going to be great.  Our room was nice and they made it really convenient for families because they had blackout curtains between the sofa bed and queen bed area.  Our balcony was really big and it was fun to be able to sit out there.  The toilet area and tub area were separated which was nice. Our first day was at sea and we put Carter and Lexi in the nursery and kids club.  The rest of us went on the aquaduct.  It was really amazing.  We loved it.  The kids did well in their areas.  The next day we went to the Grand Caymans.  We did a boat tour that took us to a sandbar with stingrays.  We got to swim with them, touch them, and Cole even kissed one!  It was amazing but scared the kids.  Then it took us to an area to snorkel.  It was the most blue water I've ever seen. The next day we went to Costa Maya.  We went to a beach resort area and enjoyed playing in the sand and drinking virgin daiquiri's.  Carter had more sand in his hair by the end of that day than I'd ever seen.  I don't know when we will get it all out.  He was in heaven.  The following day we went to Cozumel.  Cole did a tour with my parents of the ruins while I stayed on the ship with the kids.  It was a nice relaxing day.  That night was pirate night which was one of my favorite events.  We danced and stayed up way too late having so much fun! We then had a day at sea which was Carter's 2nd birthday.  We swam and enjoyed the sun. Carter loved singing Happy Birthday and would pretend to blow out a candle when we'd sing.  The next day we went to Cast Away Kay.  It was amazing and I'd love to go there again.  We rented bikes and rode around the Island.  It was my favorite thing we did the entire trip.  I love riding bikes and doing it on a beautiful Island was wonderful.  I couldn't stop smiling.  We ate way too much and the kids got to have a lot more sugar than usual but that was part of the fun.  Carter was up and down a lot with the waiters and housemaids.  It was always interesting to see if he'd scream at them or smile at them.  By the end he always smiled at them. He also really warmed up to the characters and would go up to them by himself by the end. We loved seeing the towel creations our maid did for us.  It was an amazing trip!
