We had a lovely Christmas Eve. Earlier in the month when I tried to explain why we celebrate Christmas to Lexi I told her it was for the Savior's birthday. She said we needed to have a cake and presents for baby Jesus' birthday. On Christmas Eve we made a cake for his birthday. Later that night we sang Happy Birthday, blew out the candle, had a toast, and ate the cake to celebrate. It sounds silly but it was actually quite spiritual and a highlight of the season for Cole and I. We also got to go to the Ellison party and loved seeing everyone. Grandma Janet let the kids open her gifts at her house that night. Lexi was so excited! It was a fun night.
